Today's Scripture
"If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose." Philippians 2: 1-2
Is your heart of compassion open? Do you take time to make a difference in others? God has given you a heart of compassion, but you must decide to keep it open and allow the love of God to flow through you to those around you. In order to experience God's abundant life, you must keep your focus on helping other people. Don't allow the enemy to keep you so busy that you overlook the needs of those around you. Make a decision to show God's love and goodness wherever you go. Be on the lookout for people you can bless. Go out of your way to show God's compassion, and as you do, you will discover the champion in you!
A Prayer for Today
God, I can think of at least three people who are hurting and need my help. Today I will make a phone call, send an email, or extend an invitation and reach out to these people. I will go out of my way to show kindness, because that's what Your son would do. In Jesus' Name – Amen.
