| Nosology Is Me |
Apr 14, 2008 10:23 pm 432 Views | | I am a walking catalogue of disaster, courting dysfunction and disease. Through the blood injuries of my ancestors I’ve inherited a predisposition to surgery, to suffer through invasive procedures, lengthy scars in the folds of my skin, counting on multiple medicines to enhance internal reconstruction. I endure liaisons with lancets, my physician silent while I weep, and when the pain becomes unbearable I yearn for the succor of sleep. |

| Overrated Reality |
Apr 6, 2008 8:39 pm 541 Views | | I have lived for years in the light of your infectious smile, have vowed to try one more time, remitting every indiscretion securely to the past, not to be pried apart or spoken of as I don’t feel relativity will stop the tension and verbal abuse, violence erupting unwittingly before a call of "truce".
I will faithfully revise your face to what I see in the mirror, a prisoner to this winter of wills where everyone loses and nobody wants to give. We’ve open warfare upon the psyche, Leaving the pain intact and panging, a window of opportunity, the soundtrack of your life singing sweetly as bodies pile up by the door.
You’d rather fight than ever be captured, retain your freedom whatever the cost, regardless of any impending loss, giving up with a grin what you said was your dream, wishing it all away unseen, to wipe the slate clean before deep sleep, to fall through that crack in the sky, the drawer where you keep your emotion, and then carry on like you don’t give a damn.
But when you see through everything you end up with nothing, and lack of love is a cold bedfellow indeed, similar to this overrated reality. |

| Let Me Buy Your Sustenance |
Mar 4, 2008 4:18 pm 817 Views | | I am simply addicted to shopping. Not for shoes or clothes, electronics or linens, but food. Yes, take me to your local store amd I will slowly tour each aisle, peruse the specialty section for apple mundet, Cotswold, and coconut macaroons.
The store circulars seem made for me to strategically plan the iternerary and timely interlude of each shopping escapade. Being in the presence of such abundance makes my spirit lift and my heart long to dance, yet somehow it remains intensely personal, nothing I have shared with another..... 'till now.
Ask me the prices of things you might eat, cheese, eggs, milk, eggplant, zucchini, lemons or limes, coconuts and oranges, pineapple or plantain. If you're feeling ill, give me a call, I'll shop for the soup, advance your recovery. To make a list so I could shop for you I would freely do. So if you like to eat food but you don't like to buy it, just give me a contract, and gladly I'll sign it, then fondly prepare with loving care every morsel that enters your body.
I just love the grocery store, with all its rich romantic lore. It has everything I need and is so organized. I can take what I fancy and come away happy, a meditation upon paradise. |

| Creativity |
Feb 25, 2008 9:09 am 1007 Views | | You, my goddess, my truest muse, Every cell of my being I owe to you. You nourish my mind, kindle my soul, Ensconced in this fabric of spirited growth. With bountiful beauty or drowned in despair Your existence is vital, beyond compare. Love cannot describe the depths that I feel And words remain useless in its power. Your unharnessed energy awaits transcendence Akin to the bloom of an exotic flower At the core of your creativity. I know our affinity can’t ever end. by you I will grow old and die with Never hoping for a better friend. |

| Spiritual Blackmail |
Feb 8, 2008 7:36 am 1206 Views | | Contrary to objection lacking obsequious sorrow resisting relentless rejection weighted diff'rences subside.
You laugh and I feel full of air.
Craving courteous crassness lingering haberdash sedative traversing worrisome ice fields off that tragic lake of subjection.
You laugh and I feel far away.
Fortuitous forgetful finicking past adjusted longing salient transient recipient betrays restricted techniques.
If I say if out loud will you listen to me???
If I say it out loud stripped of hope will you dance for the devil, will you covet the truth of another???
Between wordless love and unspeakable explicatives --- all spiritual blackmail --- caught in your world............ or mine |

Jan 29, 2008 1:31 pm 1249 Views | | Such strong beautiful hands, solid tapered fingertips attached to a body falling apart. Not the only irony - He shields his face from the force of stupidity enclosed in this room. A narcissistic "leader" controls the fate of his corporeal morbidity, while he sits quietly waiting for time to pass, thinking of hot coffee and tomorrow. |

| "Management" Meetings |
Jan 22, 2008 2:50 pm 1343 Views | | You smirk at me from across the room, bored beyong belief, taking notes in this inconsequential assembly. Ah, we both know the truth. Words bouncing off these walls land in the well of oblivion, where nothing gets done and thousands of dollars are wasted. Her lack of leadership is killing us quickly as she enlists our performance in nonessential loitering, catering to her whims. My god, how slowly time twists as we suffer through her platitudes. Some days I actually wish to endure her temper, to be outcast from this house before it crumbles on its own.
Without words, in the imbecility of this shared routine adventure, just by your smile, I know you're pulling with me.
We both understand, contrary to popular belief, yes, the easy way out is best. |

| Goodbye Michael Bondurant |
Jan 18, 2008 12:40 pm 1452 Views | | Gone moving on death is a doorway you walked across. Your body's empty, your soul is free and someday time may fade my memory but for the moment I can't help but cry. For now and forever, dear Michael, goodbye. |

| Planetary Insanity |
Jan 14, 2008 3:01 pm 1452 Views | | Let them judge our worth not by the billions we have killed nor by those we left behind, passed over and obscured. Let them hail the new age by the paradigms we pursued, by the history we've forgotten and the mountains we have moved. I fail not to give my props to those who toiled to save my crops, evening the score. Quick! Find the time. Materialize. Call the game by its rightful name. Planetary insanity. This is what now rules. |
