| Waiting To Be Opened |
Jul 9, 2008 4:23 am 371 Views | Today's Scripture
"Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway." (Proverbs 8:34)
God is always providing opportunities for you to advance in life. It's His desire that you constantly learn and grow and experience His abundance. Have you ever been afraid to step out and take an opportunity set before you because you aren't sure it's the right thing to do? Has your life become stagnate and mediocre because you're afraid to try new things? In order to experience the abundant life God has in store for you, you have to begin moving forward and explore the open doors in your path.
The enemy will try anything to keep you living in mediocrity. He knows that once you start moving forward, God will be able to lead you in His perfect will. Sometimes you may come to some closed doors before you find the open doors, but as you keep moving, you'll be one step closer to fulfilling God's plan of victory for your life. Once you make the decision to step out, you'll learn to follow the Lord's leading and God will open supernatural opportunities before you!
A Prayer for Today
God, I am heart humble before You. I will seek and open the doors that you put before me. I will live according to Your will and make adjustments in my life so that I may follow You all the days of my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.

| Expect God's Best ! |
Jul 8, 2008 4:38 am 377 Views | Today's Scripture
"In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation." (Psalm 5:3)
Our God is a god of "Suddenlies!" God can suddenly break an addiction. He can suddenly heal your body. He can suddenly give you that promotion. When you keep your heart open, expectant, and filled with faith, it gives God something to work with. In the same way Jesus turned the five loaves of bread and two fish into lunch for 5,000 men (Matthew 14:17), God will take your faith in Him and turn it into the provision you need!
The enemy's goal is to steal your hope. He wants to get you down and discouraged so you will give up and settle for less than God's best. Don't be deceived! No matter how many disappointments you've encountered, God can turn things around for you in a split second of time! One touch of His favor can suddenly restore relationships! One touch of His goodness can solve that problem you're facing today! Just one touch from Almighty God can instantly change your life!
A Prayer for Today
God, each day I come before You with my joys, my concerns, my praises, and my requests. I will wait patiently and expectantly for Your answer. In Jesus' name, Amen.

| Through The Eyes of Faith |
Jul 7, 2008 4:00 am 385 Views | Today's Scripture
"Do not cast away your confidence for it will be richly rewarded." (Hebrews 10:35)
God is constantly trying to plant new seeds of victory inside of you! He's trying to increase you and enlarge your vision. He wants to take you to new levels of victory. But in order for this to happen, the seed has to take root in your heart. Before you're ever going to be successful, you've got to see yourself being successful. Before your dreams come to pass, you've got to look through your eyes of faith and see them come to pass.
The enemy doesn't want you to grow and increase, or fulfill your destiny, so he immediately tries to distract your heart and uproot the seed God planted. In order to defeat the enemy in your life, you have to stay focused on God, His Word–and the dream He's promised to you! Constantly meditate on His promises, and thank the Lord for His faithfulness no matter what the circumstances look like. Before long, you'll begin to see the dreams God placed in your heart come to pass.
A Prayer for Today
God, You see me as a victor and a champion. I will remember this and keep my eyes stayed on You as I go about my day. What I achieve on my own is nothing compared to the plans You have in store for my life. I am confident in Your love and in Your vision. In Jesus' name, Amen.

| Be Positive In Thought and Deed |
Jul 4, 2008 2:27 am 416 Views | Today's Scripture
"The Lord will keep you in perfect peace if you keep your mind stayed on Him." (Isaiah 26:3)
Your thoughts determine your destiny. You can't make a decision, or take a step, without first thinking about it–and it changes the course of your life. That's why it's so important to keep your thoughts on God's Word, and seek His plan for your life. Proverbs 23.7 says "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he." You can't think negative thoughts and expect a positive outcome. If you constantly dwell on God's Word that says, "You are an overcomer," and "You can do all things through Christ," then soon, you will become what the scripture says and your life will be on God's path to victory.
Next time the enemy brings negative thoughts to you, use it as an opportunity to give praise to the Lord! God is faithful to His Word and He will always be faithful to you. As you continue to seek Him, He will complete the work He's begun in your life. As you keep your thoughts on God, you will discover the champion in you!
A Prayer for Today
God, I will sing Your praises today and keep my thoughts stayed on You. I am an overcomer, a champion, a victor! No negative thought will enter my head today that isn't banished by me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

| Choose To Enjoy Life |
Jul 3, 2008 2:47 am 400 Views | Today's Scripture
"Jesus came so that we might have and enjoy life, and have it to the full until it overflows." (John 10:10)
A 17th century monk, Brother Lawrence, found the answer to enjoying the nitty-gritty of everyday life. He was a humble cook in a French monastery, but he authored a book entitled Practicing the Presence of God. In it, Brother Lawrence explained how he was able to turn even the most commonplace and menial tasks, like preparing meals and washing dishes, into acts of praise and communion with God. The key, he wrote, was not to change what you do, but to change your attitude toward what you do. When you begin doing these tasks, realize that you are doing them for God. Use it as an opportunity to worship Him through acts of service. When you do, you will discover pleasure even in taking out the trash.
So don't let the enemy deceive you into thinking that you must get away from your daily routine in order to truly relax and enjoy life. Don't wait for your next vacation–enjoy today and every day as a gift from God. Enjoy getting up and eating breakfast. Enjoy going to work. Enjoy mowing the lawn. Enjoy going to the grocery store. Enjoy washing the dishes. You have to do these things anyway–why not choose to enjoy them? When you do, you will go through life with a smile on your face, a spring in your step and you'll enjoy the abundant, overflowing life of victory that God has in store for you.
A Prayer for Today
God, what an amazing and blessed day this will be when I choose to tackle every task with joy and thanksgiving. As I go through my to-do list, I will do so knowing that every day is a gift and I am happy to accept it from my Father in Heaven. In Jesus' name, Amen.

| Follow Your Conscience |
Jul 2, 2008 5:15 am 466 Views | Today's Scripture
"I will maintain my righteousness and never let go of it; my conscience will not reproach me as long as I live." (Job 27:6)
God speaks to us in many ways. One way is through that "small voice" we call our conscience. In many cases that's the voice of the Holy Spirit directing you, encouraging you or giving you an advanced warning! When you feel uneasiness and unrest, the Lord may be saying, "Watch out, there's danger ahead." If you ignore these warnings and continue down the path you have chosen, you could experience destruction, heartache, and pain.
Is the Holy Spirit placing warning signs in front of you today? Signs that read, "Wrong Way," "Do Not Enter," or a resounding "Stop." When you sense these warning signs you have a choice to make. God won't make you do the right thing, but He will speak to your conscience and make sure that you know something is wrong. You have your own free will. It's up to you to choose the right road.
Refuse to compromise. Don't compromise in your marriage, your business, or with your family. Listen to the still, small voice inside that warns you of impending danger, and obey His leading. When you do, you will stay on God's best path and enjoy the life of victory and abundance that He has in store for you.
A Prayer for Today
God, I am grateful that I have the power to make the right choices today. I know what is right and what is wrong. When my conscience speaks to me, I pray that I will listen and stay on the right path so my life will glorify You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

| Words Can Pollute or Purify |
Jul 1, 2008 6:17 am 400 Views | Today's Scripture
"Let no foul or polluting language come out of your mouth." (Ephesians 4:29)
Your words have the power to pollute or purify. When you complain, you are releasing poison into your life. Complaining is not based on your circumstances, it's based on the attitude of your heart. If you will keep the right attitude during your time of adversity, God will honor you. When you truly trust God there are times you will have unanswered questions – don't let that keep you from fulfilling your destiny. When you have a heart full of gratitude, it leaves no room for complaining. You can always find something to thank God for, no matter what kind of adversity you may face in life.
Decide today to live a life of thanksgiving! The positive, encouraging words you speak will open the door to all God has for you!
A Prayer for Today
God, I believe in the power of the spoken word. When I am tempted to complain or speak negative words today, I will listen to that quiet voice inside me that tells me to hold them back. I will spend a quiet minute meditating on what I have to be thankful for and adjust my attitude so my words today reflect my joy. In Jesus' name, Amen.

| GOD'S SOLDIERS PERSEVERE |
Jun 30, 2008 5:46 am 394 Views | Today's Scripture
"The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles." (Psalm 34:17)
God is looking for a few good men and women who are determined to take a stand. We believe you have what it takes to be a champion for Jesus Christ!
Anyone can be obedient, keep a good attitude, and stay full of joy when things are going well. But what kind of attitude do you have when times get tough and things don't go your way? Will you stay faithful and keep pressing on even when it seems you're making no progress?
Sometimes God allows trials in our life to test us, to refine and purify our faith. No matter how far the enemy has brought you down, regardless of the severity of your troubles, your Heavenly Father promises to give you the strength you need to overcome them and arise victorious.
Remember – anyone can quit. Anyone can complain. Anyone can get down and discouraged, but God is looking for people who will persevere. Be determined to prove yourself faithful to God, He will never disappoint you. Stand strong and fight the good fight of faith. When you do you live a life of abundance and you will be a champion in life.
A Prayer for Today
God, when I joined Your army of Christian soldiers I knew it would not always be easy. Quitting is not an option for me. When I become discouraged, I will remember that You are always there to hear my cries and You will lead me to victory in the end. In Jesus' name, Amen.

| What's Blocking Your Blessing? |
Jun 27, 2008 4:51 am 387 Views | Today's Scripture
Let all bitterness, indignation, wrath, resentment, quarreling and slander be banished from you. (Ephesians 4:31)
Did you know that unforgiveness, bitterness, and resentment block the flow of God's blessing in your life? Holding on to the hurts of your past can poison your present and future. But when you let go of these emotional wounds, you open the door to the life of victory the Lord has planned.
The enemy tries to use the events of your past to influence your present actions and responses. He tries to paralyze you with fear and shame. But when you choose to forgive those who have wronged you and release your past to your Heavenly Father's loving care, you can walk in freedom. You can trade your sorrow for His joy. You can trade your shame for His peace, love, and victory!
Isn't it reassuring that you are not defined by your past. You are defined by God's Word and His plan for your life. And God sees you as an overcomer! God sees you blessed and prosperous in all your ways! God sees you living life as a champion!
A Prayer for Today
God, I am trading my sorrows in today. I refuse to live in the past any longer! I forgive my trespassers and will hand you my ashes and accept the beauty You offer instead. I will live the life of joy You intended for me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

| HE WILL SAVE YOU |
Jun 26, 2008 4:44 am 450 Views | Today's Scripture
“…Surely this is our God; we trusted in Him, and He saved us” (Isaiah 25:9).
Isn’t it good to know that you can trust God today? He is faithful, and He will save you! Save you from what? He’ll save you from anything that you need to be saved from! First and foremost, He’ll save you from the bondage of sin and death and give you eternal life. He’ll save you from fear. He’ll save you from the bondage of debt. He’ll save you from sickness and disease. When you open your heart to trust the Father by obeying His Word, the Bible says that He will save you from all the snares, or traps, of the enemy. If there’s something in your life that you need deliverance from, begin to declare that you trust God to save you. Sing a song of worship and declare His victory in your life today. As you step out and trust Him, He will bring His deliverance to you, and you will move forward into the life of freedom and victory the Lord has in store for you!
A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, today I choose to trust You. I know You are a faithful Deliverer. I cast all of my cares on You because I know You care for me. Thank You for saving me! In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
